
These chocolate umbrellas bring back many childhood memories to me. Chocolate shaped into an umbrella around a colourful stick, so simple yet so good! My child absolutely adore them, and these cute treats are perfect as party favors or holiday treats and very easy to prepare.
{Chocolate umbrellas}
Prep time: 15 min
Cooking time: 2 min
Yield: 12 chocolate umbrellas
Ingredients
- 300 g couverture chocolate (I used Callebaut)
- confetti sprinkles (optional, to decorate)
- 12 lollipop sticks
- 12 small cone molds (see pics and notes*)
Directions:
- Melt chocolate in the microwave, or in heat proof bowl over simmering water
- Pour chocolate into the molds. Let cool for a few minutes, and then place wooden sticks in the middle. Decorate with some confetti sprinkles if desired
- Leave in the fridge for at least half an hour, until chocolate is completely set
- Then unmold, and serve. Or store in a cool dry place
NOTES:
- I used these non stick horn molds. But you can also prepare the molds at home, using parchment paper for instance. Please find here a step by step process with pictures (in Korean)
