{Fruit Ice Pops}
Preparation time: 15 min (plus chilling and freezing time)
Cooking time: 5 min
Yield: 12 ice pops
Ingredients
- 250 g strawberries, clean and chopped (9 oz)
- 250 g simple syrup (1 cup)
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- juice of 4 oranges
- 200 ml simple syrup (4/5 cup)
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 4 kiwi fruits, peeled
- 200 ml simple syrup (4/5 cup)
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 500 g sugar (18 oz approx)
- 500 ml water (2 cups)
- First prepare simple syrup. In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, and allow to boil gently for 2 minutes. Let the syrup cool.
- Blend all ingredients (each flavour separately!) until it reaches a smooth consistency. You might wish to strain the liquid before filling the molds, but it is not necessary. Using a funnel, fill each of the Zipzicle molds to the fill line, zip shut and place in the freezer for 24 hours

NOTES:
- Remainig simple syrup can be kept in a airtight container in the fridge, and it can be used to prepare ice pops or cocktails
- I used these Zipzicle molds to prepare the fruit ice pops, which I bought in Ebay (2,99 $). They are reusable

So fun!! I remember having so much ice pops, growing up!
This is such a great idea and absolutely love the photography. Didn’t even realize that zipsicles exist, so that’s a good find 🙂
