An easy, funny and healthy idea to surprise your Mom on Mother’s day
{Fruit salad and chocolate bowl}
Ingredients:
- Marinated strawberries:
- 300 g strawberries, washed
- the juice of one lemon
- 2 tbs honey
- 1 thyme spring
- 250 g dark chocolate
- 6 balloons, washed (never thought I would write this in a recipe) and filled with air
Chocolate bowls:
Directions:
- Mix lemon juice, honey, and thyme spring, and pour over the strawberries. Mix well, and let the strawberries marinate for at least one hour (can be made the day before).
- Melt chocolate in the microwave, and let it cool for a while, until it is not warm to the touch any more. This step cannot be overlooked, I am sure you prefer to avoid the experience of having a “chocolate explosion” at home.
- Line a cookie or baking sheet with paper parchment. Spoon 1 teaspoon melted chocolate onto the prepared pan to form a small circle. Repeat with remaining chocolate and balloons, and let them set
- If room temperature is too hot, you may place in the refrigerator to set, about 1 hour.
- Take a scissors, and cut the balloons at the top, you do not want them to explode, you just want to slowly let the air out (remember, chocolate explosion might occur!).
- Release ballons from the chocolate, and serve filled with strawberries salad, or your favourite fruit salad
- Alternatively, you may use the chocolate bowls to present truffles, creams, mousses, icecream,…

These chocolate bowls look absolutely delicious! I was reading about some interesting local cases and came across Richmond County courtrooms
that offer unique insights into how proceedings are managed. It’s fascinating to see the attention to detail in both culinary creations and legal processes. Definitely something worth exploring further!
